Yet another ride of spectacular beauty and diversity. Leave the dealership for a brief ride down 280, then south on 17 to the Santa Cruz Mountains. As you begin the climb, you pass Lexington Reservoir on your left. When your reach the summit, exit and circle back over the highway. Turn left at the stop sign onto Summit Road; about 4 miles further and you'll find the Summit Market. Stop for some refreshments before turning right off Summit Road onto Old San Jose Road. You'll descend down through the redwoods to the seaside town of Soquel. Take a left on Soquel Drive—it will turn into Frontage Drive next to Highway 1. Turn left on Freedom Boulevard. Turn left on Corralitos Road (perhaps resting) which will turn into Eureka Canyon Road once you begin climbing. As you complete the curvy ride through the redwoods, with great views, you'll re-connect with Summit Road. Retrace your route back to the dealership.
